Counselling
I am able to help you explore and make sense of what really troubles you.
With a deeper understanding of what is affecting you I can help you to make steps towards positive changes.
Together we can find skills and techniques for coping and I will help you identify patterns and assumptions so that you learn to recognise your strengths and talents. I will be alongside you as you make changes towards a more fulfilling life.
Successful therapy depends on the relationship between you and your therapist, so it is important to find the right counsellor for you.
There are many different reasons why people come to counselling, some of the most common include:
Emotional
Wellbeing
- Anxiety and stress management
Overwhelmed by worry or struggling to relax? Are racing thoughts making daily life difficult? Therapy can help you develop tools to regain calm and control. - Depression and mood struggles
Feeling stuck, unmotivated or struggling with persistent sadness? You don’t have to go through it alone. - Grief and loss
Loss can be deeply painful, and healing takes time. Therapy offers support as you process and find your way forward.
Relationships
and Connection
- Relationship challenges
Struggling with communication, trust or conflict in a relationship? Therapy can help to provide guidance to strengthen and repair relationships. - Family and parenting support
Navigating family dynamics or the challenges of parenting can feel overwhelming. Therapy offers a space for insight, clarity and support. - Life transitions and adjustments
Change, whether chosen or unexpected, can be hard and can bring uncertainty. Therapy can help you adapt and move forward with confidence.
Personal
Growth
- Self esteem and confidence
If self doubt or negative self talk is holding you back, therapy can help you cultivate self worth. - Identity and purpose
Whether it is exploring career paths, gender, sexuality, or personal values, therapy offers a space for meaningful exploration. - Work and career stress
Workplace challenges, burnout, career uncertainty, or work related anxiety, therapy can help you navigate these concerns and find strategies to create a healthier work life balance.

My Approach
During our initial appointment I will seek to understand what has brought you to counselling and the difficulties you are currently facing. We can then talk through how we work together.
I bring warmth and empathy along with a sense of humour while providing a non-judgemental and confidential environment. I may offer gentle challenge as I support you along the way.
I am trained in integrative counselling drawing on a humanistic approach which I blend with my coaching experience where appropriate.
I offer focussed short term counselling (typically 6-8 sessions) as well as long term therapy for anyone wanting to work at more depth.
